What's Ripe, Hype, and Out-of-sight - an article by Paula Berger, Matthew Ellison, Char James-Tanny,
Tony Self, and Joe Welinske. Concise, but packed with predictions of what's around the corner for our
     profession. (posted 05/30/2005)

Putting the "V" in Your Writing Projects - an article by Michael Knowles available from Write Thinking.

Excerpt: "Where's the "v" in your writing? I'm talking about value, the value you deliver in every writing project, to every client. The phrase "added value" has been around for a few years, and it's become something of a cliche to those who fail to consider the implications of adding value to what you deliver to your clients."

What Do Your Manuals Say About Your Company? - a white paper available at the Manual Labour site.

Requires Acrobat Reader.Excerpt: "According to the Consumer Electronics Association, product returns represent a $10 billion-dollar-a-year problem for the consumer electronics industry. Technical support costs are spiraling (even with the migration to off-shore providers) while consumer satisfaction with this support is plummeting. New technology and expanded offerings to a stabilized market are increasing competition. What can manufacturers do to help combat these problems? Better consumer manuals are a start."
