STC-Sponsored Events

STC's annual conference is the world's largest gathering of technical communicators. Among the many highlights of the conference are educational sessions, workshops, vendor exhibits, and displays of the winning entries of the Society's international competitions. Technical communication professionals also benefit from numerous networking opportunities and employment resources.

Training

Hyper/Word Services provides training, consulting, development for online help and documentation, XML, single sourcing, and standards development. Neil Perlin, organizer of the "Beyond the Bleeding Edge" stem at the STC annual conference, is owner and principal consultant. Networking

The North Alabama Chapter of the ASTD holds monthly luncheons featuring presentations by local training and development professionals. These luncheons are normally held on the 4th Tuesday of the month at the Sheraton Four Points at the Huntsville International Airport, but is subject to change.

Meets the first Tuesday of every month. Whether you freelance in art, graphic design, voiceover work, web design, writing, or anything else, attending the Freelance Forum is a great opportunity to meet other freelancers. Our goal is to network, discuss strategies for finding work in the Huntsville area, and help to support and encourage one another in our goals.
